Backend Engineer (Fintech)

Ziina, a Dubai-based fintech, is hiring a Backend Engineer to build its cloud-native payments platform.

Location: Dubai, UAE (candidates must be in the UAE or willing to relocate)

Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Work with product, design, operations and engineering to pick the highest-value features
• Own features end to end, from design through release and monitoring
• Build a cloud-native platform with strong observability, security, scalability and testing
• Improve CI/CD workflows to ship faster
• Contribute to engineering culture and knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Ownership mindset and a collaborative approach
• Clean, testable, well-documented code
• Clear communication of technical requirements
• Data-driven and customer-focused thinking
• Nice to have: 3+ years of software development, experience with money-handling systems, Node.js, GraphQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch or Kafka
