Platform Engineer, Backend Enablement & Tooling

Ziina is hiring a Platform Engineer to improve how its engineers build, test and release backend services.

Location: Dubai, UAE (based in or willing to relocate to the UAE)

Type: Full-Time

Experience: 3+ years

Key Responsibilities

• Build internal tools, service templates and shared libraries for backend services
• Improve local development, debugging and testing workflows
• Maintain testing frameworks and CI-integrated quality checks
• Create self-service tools so teams work without waiting on the platform team
• Improve visibility into system quality and release confidence

Requirements

• 3+ years in platform, backend or developer experience roles
• Strong backend skills, ideally TypeScript and Node.js, with microservices knowledge
• Experience building internal tooling or shared libraries
• Product mindset for internal tools
• Regular use of modern AI tools

Tech Stack

TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, GraphQL Federation, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions.
