Logistics Assistant (JAFZA)

AXALAR Trading FZE is looking for a hands-on Logistics Assistant to manage daily shipment documentation, customs clearance, freight coordination, and warehouse activities, working closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, suppliers, and customers.

Location: JAFZA, Dubai, UAE

Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and check invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, delivery notes, and shipping documents
• Coordinate customs declarations, clearance, and JAFZA procedures through Dubai Trade and Dubai Customs
• Handle gate passes, re-export documents, transfer of ownership, and related free-zone procedures
• Request and compare freight quotations and prepare landed cost calculations
• Book, track, and follow up on shipments from pickup to final delivery
• Monitor container free time and help avoid demurrage and detention charges
• Supervise loading and unloading at the JAFZA warehouse and verify cargo
• Maintain shipment records and provide regular status updates

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of UAE logistics or freight forwarding experience
• Hands-on experience with JAFZA and Dubai Customs
• Knowledge of Incoterms, HS codes, and shipping documentation
• Familiarity with MENA and African trade routes is an advantage
• Good written and spoken English and Arabic
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
• Comfortable working between office and warehouse
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
