Field Application Engineer, Robotics

Analog is hiring a Field Application Engineer for robotics in Abu Dhabi. You will be the technical expert who implements, sets up and optimises robotic systems at customer sites, with office-based work and regular customer travel.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure and optimise robotic systems at customer sites
• Advise on robotics hardware including arms, sensors and actuators, and on hardware selection
• Support system architecture and hardware-software integration; coding to integrate with customer work order systems is desirable
• Work with systems engineering, product management and sales teams
• Deliver on-site or remote training and ongoing lifecycle support
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues to keep downtime low
• Relay customer feedback to product and engineering teams
• Support sales with technical demos and solution proposals
• Write configuration guides, troubleshooting guides and training materials

Requirements

• Degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a related field
• Proven experience implementing, integrating and supporting robotics; experience with robotic arms, sensors, actuators and control systems is highly desirable
• Deep knowledge of robot system architecture, control systems, software frameworks and debugging tools
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for assessments and installations
