Speechify, a fully distributed company, is hiring a Platform Software Engineer for its Dubai-based team.
Location: Dubai, UAE (company works remotely, no central office)
Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and own APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication and usage tracking
- Maintain and extend a public text-to-speech API
- Improve speed, cost and reliability of existing services
- Automate manual work and add pre-release correctness checks
- Design B2B and enterprise integrations with product, mobile and web teams
Requirements
- Proven backend experience in TypeScript and Node
- Hands-on GCP experience, with working knowledge of AWS or Azure
- Preferred: Docker, Kubernetes, high-availability deployments
- Comfort working with AI agents and verifying results against real system state
Hiring Process
Several technical interviews and a take-home assessment on a real codebase.
