Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Regional Specialist, InfoSec

Airwallex is hiring a senior security compliance specialist in the UAE (Abu Dhabi or Dubai, listed as remote) to act as the regional anchor for its information security programme.

Responsibilities

• Link UAE security requirements to the global information security programme
• Act as the security contact for regulators, customers, partners and vendors
• Design, implement and monitor security controls and policies covering compliance, data privacy and risk governance
• Use AI and automation for reporting, metrics, dashboards and evidence management
• Maintain security documentation and audit evidence
• Work with engineering, legal and business teams on complex cloud environments

Requirements

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with the ability to work independently
• Deep knowledge of PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2 and security audits
• Understanding of cloud security and of financial services or payments
• Strong communication skills as a regional contact for external stakeholders
• Preferred: fintech background, UAE security compliance knowledge, and a certification such as CISSP, CEH or CISA
