IT Administrator (Satellite Manufacturing)

Loft Orbital, through its Orbitworks satellite manufacturing unit, is hiring an IT Administrator in Abu Dhabi. Orbitworks aims to be the first commercial company in the UAE to build tens of satellites a year from a large Abu Dhabi facility, and this individual contributor role owns the IT function that keeps its systems reliable, secure and recoverable.

What You Will Do

• Maintain networks, firewalls, VPNs and virtualised environments, including multi-ISP connectivity and failover
• Manage backups for virtual machines, Google Workspace and on-site storage, with offsite and immutable copies
• Run regular restore tests, cyber recovery tests and continuity exercises
• Work with external security partners to close assessment findings and strengthen access controls, MFA and endpoint security
• Support daily hardware, software and permission requests across Mac and Windows devices, including MDM
• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding with HR and support lab and cleanroom equipment
• Manage vendors, keep runbooks up to date and report on infrastructure status to leadership

Requirements

• At least 6 years of IT experience, including 2 years as the primary infrastructure administrator
• Hands-on experience with backup, disaster recovery and restore testing
• Strong LAN, WAN, VPN and firewall skills
• Practical Google Workspace administration and experience with SSO and access controls
• Clear troubleshooting and technical writing

Nice to Have

• Cisco Meraki and Synology experience
• Business continuity or ISO 22301 exposure
• Manufacturing, lab or cleanroom environments
