Senior Software Engineer, Payments Ledger (Java)

Lean Technologies, an open finance and payments company, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Dubai for its Store team, which owns revenue-critical and compliance-sensitive systems such as payouts, billing and a regulatory ledger.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the core ledger that supports regulatory scaling
• Own the billing system end to end, including reliability and evolution
• Deliver a committed partner integration with direct revenue impact
• Support payouts infrastructure, including incident response and client features
• Improve stability, performance and scalability
• Lead design-level code reviews and write technical specifications

Requirements

• Strong backend experience with Java, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, microservices and REST APIs
• Production experience with Kafka and event-driven systems
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis
• Familiarity with Maven, Docker and Jenkins
• Observability experience with Prometheus and Grafana
• Day-to-day use of AI-assisted engineering tools

Fintech or regulated-environment experience and mentoring skills are a plus.
