Senior Vice President, Development (Real Estate)

Aldar, a leading Abu Dhabi real estate developer, is hiring a Senior Vice President of Development. The role leads individual development projects from inception to completion, reporting to the Director.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess land, residential, retail and mixed-use development opportunities
• Source investment through joint ventures, project finance and pre-sale or pre-lease commitments
• Build and prioritise a project pipeline on the land bank
• Prepare feasibility studies, costings, financial models and development appraisals
• Manage projects through design, procurement, phasing, scheduling and budgets
• Select and appoint consultants and contractors, and monitor risk and monthly construction progress
• Support negotiations for asset purchases, leases and sales with legal, leasing and sales teams

Requirements

• 12+ years of development management on large retail real estate assets above AED 500 million
• 4+ years in a managerial role
• Degree in real estate, land economics, property valuation, architecture or engineering
• Strong valuation, appraisal and financial modelling skills
• Knowledge of the GCC market, ideally with a large master developer
